Something Powerful Is Starting In Atlanta For Adults Over 50
Atlanta’s First 50+ Strength Meetup Is Officially Here

Last week we shared something exciting.

Atlanta is beginning to organize a community of men and women over 50 who refuse to slow down.

Not someday.
Not next year.
Now.

The response to last week’s message confirmed what we believed all along — thousands of people in this city want strength, mobility, energy, and community in the second half of life.

Now it is time for the next step.

The First 50for50Club Community Meetup

Our first official Atlanta Strong After 50 meetup is scheduled.

Date
March 28, 2026

Time
9:30 AM EST

Location
Piedmont Park
Active Oval – near the 10th Street entrance
1071 Piedmont Ave NE
Atlanta, GA 30309

When you arrive, walk toward the large open field with the Atlanta skyline view. Look for the 50for50Club gathering near the walking path along the field.

There will be a visible 50for50Club marker so you can easily find the group.

Parking is available in the SAGE Parking Deck or nearby street parking around the park.

There is no cost to attend. Simply arrive a few minutes early so we can begin together at 9:30 AM.

If you would like to view the event details or RSVP, you can see the meetup here.

This will be the first of many gatherings as we build Atlanta’s strongest 50+ fitness community.

We Will Begin Teaching Health Topics Each Week

One of the goals of the 50for50Club community is not only to train together, but also to learn together.

Each meetup will introduce one health or longevity topic that can help adults over 50 stay stronger, healthier, and more energized as they age.

Topics will include:

  • Mobility

  • Strength training after 50

  • Metabolic health

  • Recovery

  • Nutrition

  • Longevity strategies

For our first educational topic, we will introduce a concept that has gained significant attention in the health and longevity world.

That topic is fasting.

Understanding When Fasting Actually Begins

Many people say they are fasting when they skip breakfast or delay their first meal of the day.

However, from a biological standpoint, the body typically does not enter a true fasting state until approximately twelve hours after the last meal.

During the first twelve hours after eating, the body is still using stored glucose from previous meals as its primary energy source.

After roughly twelve hours something important begins to happen. Insulin levels begin to drop and the body transitions into fat-burning mode, often referred to as metabolic switching.

When this occurs several beneficial processes begin:

  • The body begins accessing stored fat for energy

  • Cellular repair mechanisms begin activating

  • Inflammation markers begin decreasing

  • Growth hormone levels increase

  • The body becomes more metabolically flexible

After about sixteen hours another important biological process increases called autophagy. Autophagy is the body’s natural cellular clean-up system that helps remove damaged cells and regenerate healthier ones.

Because of these processes, fasting has been studied extensively in connection with:

  • Longevity

  • Brain health

  • Fat loss

  • Insulin sensitivity

  • Reduced inflammation

For many adults over 50, learning how fasting works — and how to apply it responsibly — can become a valuable tool when combined with proper strength training and mobility work.

During our weekly education sessions we go deeper into topics like fasting, training, and longevity.

Special Guest Educators Are Coming

Beginning with this meetup we will periodically invite special guests to educate the community.

These guests may include:

  • Certified fitness professionals

  • Strength and conditioning specialists

  • Nutrition coaches

  • Longevity researchers

  • Mobility and injury prevention experts

The 50+ community deserves high-quality education and guidance.

March 28 will feature one of our first guest contributors who will help guide portions of the session and share insights with attendees.

More experts will be introduced as the community grows.

Our Standards For The 50+ Community

Every trainer associated with the 50for50Club community must meet strict professional standards.

We prioritize trainers who hold recognized certifications and demonstrate expertise in areas such as:

  • Strength and conditioning

  • Senior fitness training

  • Mobility and injury prevention

  • Functional movement training

Adults over 50 deserve qualified guidance: not guesswork.

A Note To Certified Trainers

The 50for50Club platform is being built to provide qualified trainers with a professional infrastructure to serve the 50+ population at scale.

Our system allows trainers to manage and organize key aspects of their training business, including:

  • Client activity tracking

  • Communication with trainees

  • Program management

  • Structured coaching workflows

  • Organized client records and progress insights

The goal is not simply to connect trainers and trainees.

It is to create a professional ecosystem where experienced trainers can build sustainable client relationships while delivering structured coaching to the 50+ community.

Certified trainers who want to learn more about how the platform works and how they can participate in the Atlanta community can attend our trainer information session.

Bring A Friend

If you know someone over 50 who wants to stay active, energized, and strong, bring them with you.

This community grows stronger every time someone invites another person who believes life after 50 should still be full of energy and movement.

Sometimes all it takes to start a healthier chapter is showing up with a friend.

Trainers Who Want To Volunteer

Certified trainers who specialize in working with adults over 50 are welcome to assist with upcoming meetups.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to:

  • Support the 50+ community

  • Demonstrate your expertise

  • Connect with motivated trainees

  • Contribute to a growing health movement in Atlanta

Be Part of the First 50for50Club Photo

Every movement has a beginning.

On March 28 we will take the first official 50for50Club community photo in Atlanta.

Years from now, as this community grows across the country, that photo will represent the people who were there at the very beginning.

Bring a friend, arrive a few minutes early, and be part of the first chapter.
